Blitts & Sping

Since 2015 Sping has partnered with Blitts on DSO-facing APIs and municipal permitting software—keeping pace with 2024 regulatory changes.

Optimising municipal processes

From January 2024, Dutch permitting law shifted again—rules can differ per municipality. Citizens expect frictionless services, so software must bridge municipal systems with the National Digital System for the Built Environment (DSO). Sping and Blitts jointly deliver a secure, up-to-date platform for that reality.

Why the Blitts partnership matters

Sping backs multiple scale-ups; Blitts has been on that journey since 2015. Born from a winning TNO pitch, Blitts is rare in automating the full complexity of permitting law.

Founders Martijn and Joris focus on simplifying automated regulation—especially building permits. Martijn brings architectural rigour; Joris champions Sping as the integration partner between municipalities and service providers.

Together we pair research, design, and engineering with Blitts’ domain depth and municipal urgency.

Platform engineering since 2015

Sping engineered the DSO-facing API that lets municipalities exchange data reliably with the wider permitting ecosystem. Maintenance and feature growth remain a core responsibility.

As Blitts onboards each new municipality to the environmental counter, Sping keeps integrations resilient and current.
