Sping redesigned the homepage and user flow for Techniek Bedrijven, a foundation matching technical students with companies, to better showcase their diverse offerings beyond their annual flagship event.

About Techniek Bedrijven
Techniek Bedrijven is a foundation connecting students from technical universities with companies through an annual event in Rotterdam. The event attracts 55 participating companies including Philips, Arcadis, Picnic, Vattenfall, ING, and EY seeking interns, trainees, and employees. Students register on the platform, sharing details about their studies, grades, interests, and activities, then the matching engine connects them with relevant companies.
The Challenge

Each year, over 1000 students apply, but only 550 receive invitations to the event. The organization prioritizes quality, focusing on the strongest candidates. However, the existing homepage exclusively promoted the annual event, overlooking other activities like company “inhousedagen” at firms such as Microsoft and professional business courses. The client wanted these supplementary offerings to gain greater visibility among their target audience.
The Solution

In a single week, using strategic questioning, collaborative ideation, and design tools, the team created a new user flow and homepage design. The redesign demonstrates that Techniek Bedrijven offers more than just an annual event. The team identified key user personas, analyzed their goals and needs, then developed a homepage addressing all requirements.
